Tassat Secures U.S. Patent for Yield-in-Transit On-Chain Settlement Technology
Tassat Group, Inc. has been granted a U.S. patent for its Yield-in-Transit (YIT) technology, a breakthrough in programmable interest-bearing settlement infrastructure. The innovation enables continuous on-chain interest accrual across settlement, collateral, and treasury operations, currently live on Lynq with over 50 institutions onboarded.
Developed in collaboration with Arca Labs and tZERO Group, Lynq launched in July 2025 with support from major players including U.S. Bank, Avalanche, and Galaxy. The platform allows digital asset institutions to seamlessly accrue and receive intraday interest throughout settlement processes—addressing a critical gap in high-velocity financial environments.
The patented YIT model modernizes financial transactions for regulated institutions by proportionally distributing interest based on asset holding time. This advancement reinforces Tassat's role in building next-generation settlement infrastructure for institutional crypto adoption.
